Open Farm Sunday Success
More dairy farms than ever opened their gates for Open Farm Sunday on 9 June 2013, welcoming thousands of visitors to discover the story behind our food and demonstrate their support for British farmers.
The day was a great success and there was a healthy crop of twitter activity from farmer and members of the public alike showing that agriculture is definitely not lagging behind when it comes to social media.
Lindsay Graham, a visitor to one of the many open farms, tweeted:
"There's a real farmer in his overall + wellies! Explaining to family about milking @OpenfarmSunday @ourcowmolly #ofs"
While Kemble Farms highlighted the great things that people learn and remember from the day:
@OpenFarmSunday Q: What was the most striking thing you remember?
